From this figure, 47% of Americans listened to a podcast in the last month and 34% in the previous week, with an increase of 12% and 10% year over year.
Insider Intelligence estimates that in 2026, the number of podcast listeners worldwide will grow to 619.2 million.
It’s interesting to note that the percentage of time people spend listening to audio content has increased more than fivefold, from 2% to 11%, in the last ten years. Of this, 20% is spent listening to podcasts.
While the United States and Canada are the center of the podcasting ecosystem with the highest number of listeners, Insider Intelligence predicts China and Latin America will surpass them between 2025 and 2026. Read More

Podcasting in seasons is a game-changer for consistency, audience engagement, and avoiding burnout. Instead of grinding out episodes indefinitely, breaking your show into seasons gives you a structured, intentional approach to content creation. Each season focuses on a specific topic, making it easier to plan, batch-record, and keep your content cohesive. Plus, taking planned breaks between seasons lets you regroup, refresh, and come back stronger—without losing momentum or your audience’s attention.
Beyond making your life easier, seasonal podcasting is a smart strategic move. It lets you build anticipation, streamline marketing, and give your listeners a clear, engaging experience. A well-structured season keeps people coming back, while the downtime between seasons gives you space to gather feedback and fine-tune your next round of content. Instead of feeling trapped in an endless production cycle, this approach keeps your podcast fresh, focused, and built to last. Read More
